Prince Al Waleed Bin Talal, Head of Kingdom Holding Company in Saudi Arabia, has recently given his approval for constructing the world’s tallest building. The Kingdom Tower.
The tower will be constructed in Jeddah, reaching 1 mile (1.6 KM) high in the sky when it’s done. Containing an area of 340,000 m³. It will include office spaces, a hotel, residential spaces, and the last upper floors will be dedicated to alternative energy generation.
A mile high tower means that if you want to take the elevator from the ground floor all the way up to the last floor, it would take you 12 minutes to get there!
Check out the physical model of the project in this video..
Not bad, Saudi Arabia, not bad at all!

One of the most ambitious and great projects of our times. It will be interesting to follow it. I really like Adrian Smith as an architect, he knows what he’s doing.
