Coverage: French Short Film Festival in Cinema Laila @CinescapeQ8

Cinescape is currently organizing a French Short Film Festival in Cinema Laila and I went to the first screening yesterday. Loved how it wasn’t crowded which made the evening very peaceful and enjoyable.

Short speeches were first given by the Cinescape representative, followed by the French ambassador in Kuwait.

The screenings then began , 6 short films in about 2.5 hours, separated by a 10-minute break in the middle. The film selection was great, mostly light and humorous. I loved 4 out of the 6 total films. My favorite was a cartoon from 1998 “Au bout du monde”, gave everyone a good laugh.

The Festival continues for today only, Tuesday 10 April 2012. Starting at 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm. with 9 more short films. Entry is Free. Don’t miss it.
