I’m sure you already heard about the earthquake that hit Kuwait Thursday morning at 7:30 am. It was registered to be of a 4.2 magnitude and struck 40KM to the North-West of Salmiya.
I just read an article featuring Dr. Ferial Bu Rabee (earthquake expert and Assist. Manager of Kuwait University for Scientific Affairs) and she talks about a possible earthquake that can hit Kuwait and reach up to 8 degrees on Richter scale.
Such an earthquake can strike southern part of Iran and impact the bordering GCC countries. The same area in Iran was hit with an 8.1 earthquake in 1945 and it caused huge tsunami waves that reached India.
Never knew Kuwait could be vulnerable to such earthquakes :S
