The top photo of Kuwait city is taken by an astronaut on the International Space Station. When I came across it on the NASA website I remembered when the space station passed over Kuwait last October and I was able to see it and take the bottom photo. I thought it would be interesting putting the two photos side by side, seeing both the astronauts’ perspective and ours. Even though the photos weren’t taken at the same time.
I also found a NASA website that shares astronaut photos of earth publicly for us to see. It has 485 photos of Kuwait, taken from space. You can see them all here
