Recently we have been hearing about Justin Bieber cutting his hair and announcing ‘ he would be giving pieces of it to different people’ <– Diva much?
So he gave one of his “precious” hair locks to Ellen DeGeneres as a gift (She’s holding it in the picture). And Ellen, as a nice gesture, auctioned it off on ebay, promising to donate 100% of the profits to charity.
To everyone’s surprise, the hair lock was sold for 40,668$! with 35 bidders!
Now the people at The Gentle Barn Foundation, the charity foundation that will be receiving the profits, describe themselves as “A nonprofit organization that was founded in 1999 as a safe haven and place of recovery for abused farm animals and children”
‘Farm animals and children’? seriously? what type of organization mentions animals before children in their bio? This is ridiculous. A very bad choice of foundation to donate to. There are hundreds of foundations that actually help ‘human beings’ and consider them a species that rank before animals, those are far more deserving for these profits.
I can’t believe there are actually 35 people living on the face of this earth who are willing to pay 40,000$ for a 16 year old boy’s lock of hair. What has the world become to?
