Abu-Dhabi Removes Masafi Water From Shops

The Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFC) has recently withdrawn containers of Masafi water which were not compliant with the specifications. The containers withdrawn were 500 ml bottles with a manufacturing date and expiry date of 17.2.2012 and 16.2.2013 respectively.

The action on the water was due to its containing bromide beyond the permitted levels.

“We would like to clarify that water bottles with manufacturing and expiry dates other than the ones mentioned above are safe.” said a spokesperson at ADFC.

I’m not sure if any similar bottles were shipped to Kuwait. But since nothing was recalled here, you better check any Masafi water bottles you buy..
