“Americana” Warehouse Shut Down By The Ministry

The Ministry of Commerce has shut down the Americana warehouse located in Sulaibiya area after it was revealed that the company has been distributing expired goods on co-ops/retailers after printing a fake, extended expiry date on the labels. Also breaking the law which requires companies to have the expiry date printed on the product wrapping itself, not on removable labels.

The company has been adding a type of dye to their food products that would keep them looking fresh even after expiration. The dye does not meet the standard requirements, as stated in the document.

And above all that, those expired good had a raised price by 15%.

This is ridiculous..
