The Global Peace Index 2012 has been published and it seems like Kuwait is less peaceful this year. It’s ranking 47th in the world, after it ranked 29th last year.
Kuwait’s ranking also makes it the 3rd most peaceful Arab country. What I find very impressive is Qatar’s rank.
Here’s a list for all Arab Countries:
- Qatar (#12)
- UAE (#46)
- Kuwait (#47)
- Morocco (#54)
- Djibouti (#56)
- Oman (#59)
- Jordan (#62)
- Tunisia (#72)
- Saudi Arabia (#106)
- Egypt (#111)
- Bahrain (#118)
- Algeria (#121)
- Mauritania (#125)
- Lebanon (#136)
- Yemen (#143)
- Syria & Libya (#147)
- Iraq (#155)
- Sudan (#156)
- Somalia (#158)
The most peaceful country in the world is Iceland (#1), while Somalia (#158) comes last. Both are the same as last year.
The rankings are determined based on many factors such as political instability, violent crime, freedom of press, adult literacy rate, hostility to foreigners, etc… See all the detailed criteria here.
i disagree. there is no peace with this stupid Parliament lol

It is true. I actually think Kuwait’s political instability is what drew it this far behind.
