Gallery: Cirque De Glace

Here are some photos from yesterday’s Cirque De Glace at the ice skating rink.

The first half of the show demonstrates how humans made gods out of nature’s elements (a volcano) and worshiped them by sacrificing themselves. And the second half shows how people evolved and built cities with tall skyscrapers, and how they’re slowly ruining the earth by polluting the air, cutting down trees, and causing global warming.

What I loved about the show is that it had a cause. It was an unusual way to spread environmental awareness. But, I expected more. The performances were very entertaining at some points and boring at others. And the dancers movement wasn’t in-sync all the time either. There were also parts where a voice was narrating the story and nobody could understand what was being said.

It’s still not to be missed though.

There will be 2 daily shows until 9 Feb at the ice skating rink. A show at 4:30 pm and another at 7:30 pm. Tickets available at the same location.
