My family and I had a wonderful mother’s day at Cucina restaurant in Hotel Missoni. They had a set menu specially for that day and we got to meet Cucina’s talented chef Federico while enjoying live classic guitar music.
The night was perfect in every way. From the calm ambiance to the artistic food to the great hospitality. Very memorable and special.
This was waiting for me on the table. Such a sweet gesture.
Italian chef Federico. He explained everything on the set menu and gave us the option to order from the regular menu as well. We went with the set menu.
I’m writing this at work and I don’t have the set menu with the names of the plates with me so I will just explain what each is.
The starters.. Above is cured steak that was marinated for a full month before being served with rocca leaves and onion.
Shrimps.. They look creepy in the picture. Were delicious though.
Potato dumplings, and fried zucchini.
Chicken with veggis and balsamic vinegar.
Are you hungry yet?
Steak with veggis. This was really tender and juicy yet not too chewy. perfect.
Salmon. Look at these fresh colors.
Gnocchis (pronounced Nyoki) with pesto sauce. Was the chef’s recommendation. I only had to hear there was pesto involved and made up my mind. So yummy.
Do you notice how many dishes I had? I just could.not.stop.eating!
Mushroom risotto. This was only a sample for us to taste.
moving on to the desserts.
Tiramissu was incredible. The favorite thing I had that night. Heavenly creamy! THE BEST tiramissu in Kuwait, hands down.
These two were also really yummy. Vanilla ice cream, and I don’t know what the other is called.
Biscuits, were also a sample for tasting.
And they didn’t let us go home empty handed. We had goodie bags with chocolate boxes, home made chocolate ❤
And that was our night! Big thanks to Missoni’s GM, the Bensirri team who organized my visit, and Cucina staff.
How did you spend your mother’s day?
