The M2 is Salhiya Company’s latest project, it refers to the M2 floor in Al Salhiya Complex where 4 new local restaurants will be opening. Dikakeen is one of those four, offering Kuwaiti fusion food.
I found the dishes served to be original. There are some recipes that I haven’t heard of before. Some were okay, and others were HEAVENLY. I’ll point out my favorites as you scroll down the pictures.
The Great American Bagel Bakery is opening in Kuwait very soon. They sent over 2 teaser boxes containing an assortment of bagels and 2 kinds of dipping. Tried the apple cinnamon one and it was yum! My brother, on the other hand, loved the bagels so much he continued to have a bite of each, so he could taste them all – never mind the quarter-bagel in the photo below.
Nutella, celebrating its 50-year anniversary, sent over a cool box that contains a huge limited edition Nutella jar along with a USB disk with some mouth-watering Nutella recipes, and an apron to get me in the spirit while preparing these recipes.
The 3rd Qout market -and first of 2014- will be taking place tomorrow Saturday Jan. 4th at Al Raya Center’s Car Park rooftop from 10 am – 7pm.
The charity petting zoo is back and will be open all day, @FSRI will be hosting an entire lane of children’s activities for their nonprofit, and @AsnanTower will have a charity kitchen featuring local celebrities and chefs raising money for the hungry.
Lots of delicious things to experience, try, and buy. Look for the ATM machine by the Qout Market welcome desk along with a water station to keep you hydrated while you shop. Don’t forget to grab your locally made, hand-printed Qout Market tote bag. This month’s illustration is the eggplant!
If you’re a loyal fan of Hard Rock Cafe you better enjoy it while you still can. I was informed by a staff member that they will be closing down soon -in a month or so- to be replaced by a Lebanese restaurant.

One of the latest restaurants to make it onto my favorites list. Mustard burger is a must try. Perfect burgers and grungy, raw interiors are never a bad combination. Great hospitality too.
