My brother’s latest cover – “Bad Day” by Daniel Powter. This time he tried shifting to a whole new genre with the Funk/Reggae, in addition to being his first shot at using decent video editing software. The vocals, guitar and bass are by Soufi. Drums are by Mohamad Shaheen.
A couple of weeks ago Al Ghanim held a huge event at the ice skating rink to celebrate their newest collaboration with Honda. The event featured many shows from traditional Kuwaiti performers to Japanese drummers to visual symphonies -my favorite part- to laser shows. Plus a demo by Honda’s most advanced robot Asimo. And a great surprise performance by hussain Al Jasmi at the end.
The official video has been released. Zain organized a heartfelt show at 360 mall on the occasion of the national/liberation days. The show honored the greatest Kuwaiti achievements in TV, theater, and music since the 60s through the 00s.
I love attending DAI’s events every once in a while. They’re always a change from the usual. Last night they held a Persian music night performed by Ali Akbar Moradfar and his band at Al-Maidan Cultural Center.
Tonight there will be live Jazz playing in the outdoor seating of both Triangle and Ubon. It’s their second live music night and they told me they’re planning to make it a permanent thing so let’s hope that works out! The live music will start at 8 pm to 11 pm and they’re having walk-ins only, no reservation, so if you’re planning to go you better be early.
Triangle is located in Kuwait city, Ali Al Salem street. Here’s a map
