Kuwait is hosting the qualifier for the Red Bull King of the Rock, a one-on-one basketball tournament where sixty-four of Kuwait’s most talented basketball players will fight to advance to the final 16 which will take place on May 23 at the same place. The winner at the final will earn a “golden ticket” to compete in the Finals on Samasana, Taiwan.
Red Bull X-Fighters Jams happened last night at the Kuwait Towers waterfront. The show included top international riders Martin Koren from the Czech Republic, Nick Franklin from New Zealand, Daniel Boudin from Sweden and Chris Brock from the United Kingdom. 14,000 People attended the show which started at 7:30 pm and went on for an hour and a half.
The riders did some epic tricks. Backflips, Supermans and Cliffhangers, with some jumps reaching up to 10 m high.
Yesterday the Red Bull Car Park Drift 2012 took place at the International Fair Grounds in Mishref.
One word: Amazing! The whole show was really thrilling and there were some awesome drifters! The setting was perfect. And the organizing was noticeably better than last year’s. The crowd was also huge. Had a great time.
Sadly my little camera didn’t help at all. The photos are not that good, but they give an idea about how the evening was.
The smell of tires.. ahhh *dreamy look*
Notice the lights in the photo below, they were hanging from cranes!
Of course we choked with dust coming from underneath the car tires but it’s okay. Nothing a shower can’t fix. It was so worth it 😛
Tonight marked the opening event + winners announcement of the Red Bull Art of Can exhibition at 360 mall. The art pieces I saw there blew my expectations honestly. I had an idea there will be some good stuff but not THAT good.
I didn’t include photos of all the participations, only some of the ones I liked best. You should go and have a look at the the others. The exhibition will continue for the next two weeks (until Dec. 17) so you have plenty of time to manage a visit 😀
