Video: The Jet Fighters Air Show

I wasn’t planning on posting this video since I posted many photos of the first show already, but I watched it again yesterday and decided it’s worth being shared.

The video is from Fursan Al-Emarat’s second air show that took place on Kuwait’s liberation day this year. And since I recorded it from my window there were many seconds where the jets wouldn’t be visible. So I only included my two favorite stunts in the video; The big heart, and the spiral. The two were very clear and looked so beautiful!

Coverage: Ambassadors of Comedy Show @ AIS

Great show yesterday at the American International School (AIS). The comedians were hilarious and each one of them took his time with the audience. I wasn’t expecting the show to last for 2:30 hours!

One thing I hated; The show took too long to start! There was an endless speech first, then several people were called to the stage and given flowers, then another endless speech, then an endless presentation about charity in India, then a little girl sang a song (She was cute, but irrelevant to the event?). All these things nearly took 40 minutes and everyone got bored. Then the comedians finally started and saved the day.

The comedians..

Nitin Mirani

Dean Obeidallah

And Aron Kader

You still have the chance to see these guys live, Nitin Mirani & Aron Kader are performing today at the Q8 Comedy Club in Discovery mall, details below

Coverage: The K’s Path Dog Show

The K’s Path dog show happened about 3 weeks ago (January 21, 2012) at the International Fairgrounds in Mishref. But I didn’t get the chance to write about it until now.

The event to me, was under-organized. And I say this for 3 reasons:

1- The amount of time we kept waiting for each activity to start was longer than the activity itself.

2- Having the event OUTDOORS in such freezing weather! It was during that uncommon cold weather that hit Kuwait a few weekends ago. The temperature was below 10 degrees in sunlight and we were literally shaking! Waiting around with nothing to do while freezing is not anybody’s idea of fun.

3- My friend and I had to pay 10KD (combined) as an entrance fee and I don’t understand why. We kept walking around the whole time. There were not even free drinks, we had to pay again to get some coffee to warm us up. And I don’t see what the show offered to me as a spectator in exchange of such a fee.

Bad part aside, the adorable dogs were the good part. Check out the pictures..

This cutie (below) kept using physical gestures with its owner. With every snack it waved its leg like asking for more. Adorable..

I call this one the teddy bear..

The most adorable dog, I think it was a female. With only 3 legs but the energy and activeness 10 times her size..

A Golden Retriever, such a beauty..

Of course Huskies are my favorite dog breed. And the fierce face on this particular one puts it at the top of the list for me ❤

And this puppy I call it.. the cuddle toy 😛

I don’t know what breed this dog is. Maybe a German Shepard mix? He was such a good boy. Check out how he rolls over..

A Dalmatian.. Yes like the cartoon 😛

The Kuwait Cats Show.. Extreme Cuteness!

Yesterday I attended the K-Cats cat show at Al-Safir International Hotel and the place was filled with cuteness!

The event was well organized. Though it didn’t start on time but I think it was because some cat owners were late. I loved how friendly everyone was. I even signed up for volunteering at the K-Cats organization if they hold any similar events in the future.

I’ll leave you with the photos..

This adorable kitty is up for adoption. I hope somebody took her/him home eventually..

These kitties too..

*i is bored*..

And “Curiosity did what to the cat?” 😛 ..

*Sniff sniff*

Shaved kitty.. Poor little thing it was freezing cold..

Kitties.. all around me! *takes a deep breath*

Ahem.. And we continue..

I would definitely give the “Most Attitude” award to this cat (below). As soon as she/he saw my camera she/he turned away and stayed like that. Just as I lost hope and started walking away she/he turned around and sat there watching me leave! Epic rejection lol.

There were 4 judges who flew in from Europe. The checked every cat and chose the winners for different categories..

The golden sponsor of the event “Royal Canin” cat supplies..

Another sponsor is Pet Zone. They had some pretty cool stuff. Check out the Crocs-shaped cat bed..

And Pawsh Boutique, The local online store for pet supplies, was also a sponsor..

I love attending such events. Different than what we’re used to and most importantly, a change from restaurants.

I’m really hoping more pet shows to be held in Kuwait from now on.
