Re-cast is an architectural photography exhibition organized by CAPand sponsored by Pace. The exhibition showcases the works of local architects who have all undergone a 5-day workshop under the guidance of Samer Yamani and Gunnar Knechtel, where buildings were documented, assessed, and manipulated to create an entirely new perspective of the architecture. Some of the works displayed were truly fascinating. I’ve always thought that nothing can capture the personality of a building like a good picture can, and this was exactly the case here.
Kuwait is hosting the qualifier for the Red Bull King of the Rock, a one-on-one basketball tournament where sixty-four of Kuwait’s most talented basketball players will fight to advance to the final 16 which will take place on May 23 at the same place. The winner at the final will earn a “golden ticket” to compete in the Finals on Samasana, Taiwan.

The Great American Bagel Bakery is opening in Kuwait very soon. They sent over 2 teaser boxes containing an assortment of bagels and 2 kinds of dipping. Tried the apple cinnamon one and it was yum! My brother, on the other hand, loved the bagels so much he continued to have a bite of each, so he could taste them all – never mind the quarter-bagel in the photo below.
