Redbull, for the last couple of days, have been posting teasers on their Facebook page of what appears to be shots from Felix Baumgartner’s famous space jump which the whole world witnessed last year, along with the hashtag #GuessWhosLanding in Kuwait.
Could we be in for witnessing another jump by Felix right here in Kuwait? I wouldn’t expect another space jump, but a jump from the Kuwait towers – for example- would be cool.
I miss it here..
The only aspect I hate about having a job is now I’m too busy/tired to blog.
Must pressure myself until I get used to it.
The other day while passing by International Optics in Salmiya Plaza (Salem Al-Mubarak street) I spotted a box dedicated to a great initiative by UK-based organization Vision Aid Overseas. You can donate your old spectacles through the box at International Optics and VAO would recycle and ship them to wherever somebody is in need.
Great initiative. Specially when I never really knew what to do with my old frames anyway.
Never mind the poor photos, was in a hurry.

A couple of weeks ago Al Ghanim held a huge event at the ice skating rink to celebrate their newest collaboration with Honda. The event featured many shows from traditional Kuwaiti performers to Japanese drummers to visual symphonies -my favorite part- to laser shows. Plus a demo by Honda’s most advanced robot Asimo. And a great surprise performance by hussain Al Jasmi at the end.
Here are the photos..
And here’s a look behind the scenes of the event
A friend and I tried out the newly opened Olive Garden in Arabella last week. They’re still in the soft opening phase and the place wasn’t crowded at all. Free valet parking for customers is available as well.
I really loved the original Italian music played inside. Gave the restaurant a homey feel.
Starting off with the drinks. They have refills for cocktails, not just soft drinks.
Every main course comes with your choice of salad or soup. I picked the Garden salad. My friend picked Chicken soup.
Herb Grilled Chicken. Conveniently light. But the sauce needed more herb flavor.
Chicken Masala, with your choice of siding. This was very yummy.
Appreciated gesture from our waitress.
Olive Garden is located in Arabella, right next to the Palms on Al-Ta’awon street.
